In what many thought would be the cherry on the top, Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, is about to become a god in the Marvel Comics. This change will happen in November's issue of Iron Man #14, and will follow Tony's confrontation with Avengers villain Korvac aboard Taa II, the Worldship of Galactus. Tony has been on a mission to prevent Korvac from stealing Galactus' power and becoming a god in recent issues, but it seems that he will not only be successful in stopping him, but he will also make the power his own. The latest series - from Christopher Cantwell, CAFU, Angel Unzueta, and Frank D'Armata; shows Tony feeling more than a little down. The public has turned its back on him and he’s frustrated by his limitations as a hero, hunting down Korvac has only seen Tony lose control. First suffering severe injuries that rendered it impossible to remove his armor, then being teleported too far away to help his team face the villain, Tony has flipped from despair to egotism and ...

Iron Man's Godbuster armour is said to be among his strongest creations. The suit debuted in Tony Stark: Iron Man #10 by Dan Slott, Jim Zub, Valerio Schiti, Edgar Delgado, and Joe Caramagna. This storyline saw Tony getting trapped inside a virtual reality known as eScape that he had helped create while Motherboard ( who had god-like powers) was trying to keep him there by fabricating the reality around him. In order to escape the virtual reality and stop chaos in the real world happening outside the virtual reality, Tony created the Godbuster armor to stop her. Then, after reconnecting with his real-life body, he was able to build the Godbuster armor in real life. Having completed this, Stark then goes after the Controller and uses it to stop him.
